An Independent Practice Association, or IPA, has been in existence for over 80 years with more than $5 billion in policyholder equity. As a mutual company, their customers and owners are one and the same. Their success is measured not only by the rate of return for shareholders, but also by the value they provide to policyholders.
Challenge
They needed someone to do MRA coding – HCC Coding. They already have an in house team and needed additional help with their back log of physician coding.
Solution
They came to OSI because we had experience with MRA Coding. Our coders have a superior clinical understanding of disease processes, so AFI was very excited about the opportunity for us to work together.
Result
Now that they are outsourcing their claims to OSI, they are current with their billing and it goes out in a timely manner because and they are able to stay ahead of their deadlines. This allows for quicker reimbursement of their medical billing claims.
